The Genbu-Kai
The Genbu-Kai - is an international organization that encompasses 32 countries and thousands of members.
"Gen" Can be interpeted a few ways, such as beginning, original or professional. "Bu" refers to martial arts. "Kai" means Organization.
Genbu-Kai headquarters which is located in Santa Anna CA., and one of the oldest karate schools in America.

LLC, hereby hold(s) harmless and indemnify(ies) the federation, the officers and employees thereof, instructors and other members and students, either individually or jointly, from and against any and all claims and demands whatsoever, including but not limited to those arising from any accidents, illness, injury to or death of any person or persons, resulting directly or indirectly from participation in training or any other activity related to this membership in the federation or club and occurring during said participation or anytime subsequent thereto. Further, the undesigned understand(s) there is a certain element of danger and injury. It is also understood that the Federation or club reserves the right to void this membership for any action deemed undesirable. The undersigned stipulates that he or she is physically sound and has medical approval to proceed with the normal routine exercise. Limitations, if any are noted on the provided medical form.

Kobudo: The word Kobudo can be translated as the Old warrior ways but it refers to the weapons of Okinawa.
Some say that these weapons were mostly farming tools
Today, the Genbu-Kai organization still practices this art. Through this training, we increase coordination and strength, but most of all develop ideas of using any common objects as a means of self defense.
Kobudo Kumite: Weapons fighting
Recently the Genbu-Kai has added Kobudo Kumite competition to their tournaments. Thanks to modern technology and a little ingenuity we now have padded weapons that simulate real ones in weight and size but without risk of injury. This kind of competition and sparring has opened a whole new world of opportunities and ideas to improve our Kobudo.
